Hello,
I own a PS2 and am looking into doing a wet dry wet rig.
The easy/Logical solution would be to buy/use an LxII out of the line out of the PS2 to drive wet effects (Strymon Flint) in Stereo, with the speaker out to the dry cab.
However, for the money, in Lieu of the LXII I would like to get an additional Powerstation (perhaps a PS100) for multiple applications beyond just this use case, as I have other amps I would like to attenuate ad-hoc.
Question:
In a wet dry wet context. Can I achieve the same stereo wet signal results by adding a second PowerStation to drive the wet effects to two 1x12s as an LXII?, Or would those wet cabs technically be in dual mono? My Strymon reverb has 2 stereo outs and I’d love the reverb to be in stereo. Seems like the wet PowerStation output to the two cabs would be dual mono.
Hypothetical Signal w/ PS100 & PS2:
Dry: Friedman Head Speaker out 1> Amp in jack to PS100 > PS100 Speaker Out 1> to 8 Ohm 2x12
Wet: Freidman Head Speaker out 1> Amp in Jack to PS100 (same signal as above) > Line out of PS100 > Line in of PS2 > Strymon Flint in PS2 Effects Loop > PS2 Speaker outs to individual 8 ohm 1x12’s
Hypothetical Signal w/ PS2 and LXII:
Dry: Friedman Head Speaker out 1> Amp in jack to PS2 > PS2 Speaker Out 1> to 8 Ohm 2x12
Wet: Freidman Head Speaker out 1> Amp in Jack to PS2 (same signal as above) > Line out of PS2 > Strymon Flint input >
Then:
Stereo 1 out of Strymon Flint > Channel 1 input of LXII > LXII Speaker out to 1x12
Stereo 2 out of Strymon Flint > Channel 2 input of LXII > LXII Speaker out to 1x12
Am I tracking here? Want to get the most of the reverb effects by ensuring the wet cabs are in “stereo”.
Thanks!
