Both fuses show continuity with my Fluke multimeter, and the tubes work in another 50W amp. The Powerstation was working fine with my Tweed Deluxe, 8 Ohm in and 16 Ohm out to a single greenback. I hadn’t used it in several weeks, and I tried hooking it up to a Vox AC30, 16 Ohm in and out, and I got sound on bypass, but no sound when operate engaged. Then I took it back to my Deluxe and got the same behavior. I also tried putting a patch cable between the send and receive of the effects loop, with no effect. One strange thing it if the speaker out One is used, normal sound on bypass and no sound on operate, but if speaker Two is used, bypass and operate both act like bypass, no change and no effect from any of the control on the front. Does it sound like an internal component has failed?
Hi @NarenT
This makes sense because the first speaker jack has open load protection. Without anything connected to it, the Power Station is locked into bypass/standby.
You have done a great job of eliminating the other possibilities. Here is the No Sound troubleshooting guide, just check if there are anythings you have not yet tried, Power Station: Troubleshooting Guide
If your line-out functions, then this indeed isolates the issue to the tube side of things, meaning your reactive load is fine.
Can you see the heater filaments of your tubes glow when the unit is powered on? It could be a lot of things, such as a bad relay or even a power supply issue. It would be good to arrange a service.
Here are some options for that:
- How can I send my product to Fryette for a repair (RMA Request)?
- Can I get my Fryette product repaired at a local repair shop?

Dan
Yes, can see the tubes glowing. I’ll send am email today. Thanks
Also, I did just confirm that the line out is functioning.
I got the RMA email today and shipped via UPS. I have the face plate for rack mounting, which I removed to make shipping easier, and had taken the original feet off, which I could not find, so I put some guitar pedal feet that I lying around on. I also have a few missing screws that it would be nice to get replaced while you’ve got it.
Hey Naren,
Reply to the support email with this paragraph, and it will get to the right person! All the RMA stuff is dealt with using email at the moment.

Dan
