PS 100 no sound in operate mode

Hello,

I have a PS 100 and there is no sound in operate mode; however, there is a fairly loud buzz when engaged. Also, if I turn the amp and powerstation volume to max on both, I can barely hear some sound. So, I have replaced all the tubes and fuses, unplugged fx loop, jumpered loop, checked all cables, tried on multiple speakers, rechecked fuses, re-replaced fuses. I’m not sure what else to try. I’ve seen several others with the same problem, but I haven’t seen if there is a solution that I can do to fix it. Please help, i just got a new to me Soldano Hot Rod 50 that is dying to be cranked!!

what do your connections look like? you should be going head to amp in and speaker out to cabinet.

Yeah, the connections are good, and the ohms are selected to the right impedance for amp and cab.

I think you have already followed the no sound trouble shooting steps - nice! Just double check you got all points,

As you have already changed the tubes and know the fuses are good, there must be something else wrong putting a break in the signal path. It could be simple as a switch. So any of the other impedance or reactive load settings change the no-sound condition?

It might be time to think of getting a service for the unit. Check the FAQ category for options there.

Yeah, changing the impedance or load settings didn’t help. I’m submitting an RMA. Thank you for your help!
