I am a big fan of both my Power Stations (PS-2A and PS-100). I find them indispensable with my big tube amp collection. I love every aspect of them except one: the attenuated sound is always more distorted than the sound of the amp being attenuated. It is not a bad sound, but I wonder if there is a way around the problem. I thank you in advance.
Hello MuchoTone and welcome to the community,
When you compare these two sounds how are you comparing them? This might not be the case with your setup, but human perception of distortion and volume is really complicated. I just wonder if one signal is much louder than the other?
Audio clips would be fascinating to hear. Maybe we can analyse them and isolate the additional frequencies?
Without something to go on this is a really hard question to answer because it is your rig and your ears, so I am not sure how to help!

Dan
