Ohm Setting Help

Hi,

I’ve just ordered a PS-2A to pair with the new Soldano X88ir. While I will eventually get a new cabinet I will in the mean time be using two 1x12 cabinets. One is 8ohm, and the other 16ohm. The Ohm calculator for a parallel setup indicates this is like 5.3ohm effectively.

Does that mean I should select the 4ohm switch for the speaker out Ohm setting on the PS-2A.

I will also be using this for attenuating an amp for this same speaker setup, should I be using the 4ohm output of that amp?

Technically this combination is not supported! But yes, I think it is better to have a slight larger load than smaller load, so I would do the same.

Yes, this makes sense because when you toggle from operate to bypass you can keep the impedance settings the same. I would do the same :+1:
