I have a jvm410h and a 1960a cab. I have the head set to 4 ohms and the speaker cab set to mono and 4 ohms( I assume its 4 ohms and not 8?) Do it just set the attenuator ohmage for the amp in and speaker out to 4 for both? I know I have to match the impedance, just making sure so I don’t ruin the amp and or attenuator.
Hey Rush,
Make sure you are using the right jack socket on your 1960A cab, then all speakers are connected together in parallel giving 4 Ohms with the switch in mono position.
You are correct with the impedance settings: set everything to 4 Ohms on the power station to match the amp and the speaker.

Hey
Ok. Thank you. I’ll make sure I have it all hooked up correctly. Ok. Thank you. Hope this new attenuator works this time. I appreciate the reply. I’ll let you know if i need any more help. Thank you.
Well… i used it for an hour or so… and it stopped working…
Hey Rush,
This sounds like a coincidence to me, I checked the 1960A data sheet before replying above that does indeed give you 4 Ohms, so if everything else was set to 4 ohms there is nothing that could go wrong.
Do you want to go through some debugging steps? What stopped working the amp or your attenuator? I guess you are using a Power Station?

Ive just returned it to guitar center a little bit ago.
The attenuator went out on me. Had it workig for an hour… then the sound slowly died off and stopped working…
And yes. The ps100.
I ordered the ps2 after i returned the ps100. Hoping the ps2 will be better.
