I am looking to see if this power amp can replace my 100-watt tube Bassman head as a power amp and have the same sound levels at output. I feel like I know the answer based on them both being the same RMS wattage…that it would probably work.
I am looking to use a board preamp and just want volume for speakers. My old Bassman head colors the sound too much for what I am intending.
Bass has become my thing over the years but I still play guitar all the time. I would be happy to have a PS-100 for the guitar, if it would go both ways (guitar and bass) that would be very cool.

Great question!
The power station is primarily targeted at guitar amps. The unknowns for your application are
- the lowest frequency it can support, in the input and output transformers (these are designed with guitar frequencies spectrum in mind).
- There is a secondary question about how well the reactive load can cope with low frequencies, it is rated for 200W so I would hope it will be fine. But lower frequencies stress the load more than higher frequencies.
We need @DavidPhelge to comment, he will have access to the specs.
