I’ve had the VHT Valvulator 1 since they first came out in the early 2000’s, gigged constantly and thru hundreds of rehearsals … never failed once.
My two VV 1’s were once the first thing my guitar plugged into and the last device on my pedalboard.
Later, I got an Decible Eleven Loop Expander w/ a Class A buffer to add an Acoustic Modeler, Sitar simulator, Boss GE-7 band Eq and an MXR Ten Band Eq., so I added a Mosky Pure Buffer at the end of my pedalboard.
So I experimented with placing my Valvulator 1’s in my rack and found the perfect place to insert them .
Since my Digitech 2112 SGS has two balanced outputs with two 12ax7 tubes, I then placed them between my 2112 SGS and my power amps, two Crate Power Blocks.
The Valvulator 1 is probably the best tube tone enhancers ever created, in terms of versatility and adding tube dynamic to solid state, modellers or IRs.
And the powered outlets are isolated and secure enough to power my RJM Mini Effects Gizmo that activate my Carvin Quad X and Eventide 3000 in the effects loop of my 2112 SGS .
